Outside in the Ozarks Resources: Forum | Blog | Calendar
Mountain Home, Arkansas (elevation 820 feet) offers a pristine environment with beautiful scenery and a mild climate full of sunny days (more sun than clouds 10 months of the year). Average yearly rainfall is 45 inches with spring and fall being slightly damper than the rest of the year. Because of the moderate climate, the area experiences four beautiful and distinct seasons. Every season, every day is a great time to experience the Ozarks on David's Trail.
Volunteers are at the heart of this trail-building project and this website as well. Friends of David manage the activity pages and share their outdoor expertise. Each will host a forum, inviting your additions, and will post tips. Each of the 15 activity content managers will also produce an ongoing blog dedicated to their activity topic.
Page content will change frequently - with the season, events, or news of the activity - so please revisit the pages often. Don't forget to check the David's Trail Calendar for outdoor events.
